Understanding the Real Estate Bees' chat functionality

In this article you will learn about the user chat functionality on the Real Estate Bees (REB) platform and how to properly use it to ensure a safe, secure, and convenient communication.

What Is REB' s Chat?

Real Estate Bees’ chat is a secure messaging functionality designed for private and safe communication between the platform's users.

Chat Requests

As a user of the REB platform, you may or may not receive chat requests from other platform members. There are number of reasons you may receive a chat request for. Below are a few of the possible reasons:

  1. Service inquiry responses - You'll receive a chat request whenever another user responds to a service inquiry you've submitted on the platform (or one of its partner websites). When someone responds to your service inquiry, you have the full control whether to reply to or ignore that response.
If you decide to reply to a service inquiry response, none of your contact information will be shared with the user responding to your service inquiry. It is totally up to you when and if you would want to share your contact information with any given user.

  1. Connection requests - You'll receive a chat request whenever another user requests to get connected to you within the platform for various purposes. When someone sends you a connection request, you have the full control whether to accept or decline that connection.
If you decide to accept a connection, none of your contact information will be shared with the connection initiator. It is totally up to you when and if you would want to share your contact information with any given user.

Chat Safety Guidelines

  1. Keep your communication withing the platform - Make sure to always keep all your communication within our secured messaging platform. Consider taking your communication off our platform only when it's absolutely necessary and you are fully sure it's safe.
  2. Keep your personal information private - Make sure you don't share your passwords, credit card information, SSN, national identification card number, or any other private information via the chat with other users.
  3. Keep an eye on suspicious messages - Make sure you don't click on any links or attachments that you may receive via chat from unrecognized individuals unless the context is absolutely clear.
  4. Keep strictly professional language - Make sure to always use the appropriate language when communicating on REB platform to keep it professional. REB does not condone any sort of foul language, harassment, bullying or discrimination.
