How to generate a property marketplace widget embed

When you join Real Estate Bees platform, one of the cool functionalities you will instantly get access to is an ability to add a real estate marketplace to your own website.

In this article you will learn how to generate a property marketplace widget to embed on your website.

To generate your property marketplace widget embed, follow these simple steps:

1) Log in to your Real Estate Bees account using your email address and password.

2) Click "Widget" tab on the left-hand side navigation and then click "Generated widget"  option.

3) Click "Add New" button.

4) At this point you will see a few settings required for you to set in order to generate your property marketplace embed. Let's go over each setting one by one for you to better understand what each setting is responsible for.

Setting #1: What properties would you like to display?

This setting allows you to choose to display on your embed either a. ONLY your own properties or b. your own properties AND properties from REB Network.

REB (Real Estate Bees) Network is an extensive database of off market properties available for sale sourced. 

In other words, if you are planning to use the real estate marketplace to only list your own properties, then use option a. However, if you also want to display an extensive inventory of off market properties from all over the US, then go for the option b.

Setting #2: What property types would you like to display?

This setting is quite straight forward. Here you can select the property types that you would like to display on the marketplace widget on your website.

Setting #3: What states would you like to display properties from?

This setting is also quite straight forward. Here you can select the states that you would like to display properties from on the marketplace widget on your website.

Setting #4: What order would you like to display properties in?

This setting is also quite straight forward. Here you can select the order of the properties to display on the marketplace widget on your website.

Setting #5: Which domain name would you like to display this widget on?

In this setting, in the "Which domain" field, you need to specify the domain name of the website which you are planning to place the property marketplace embed on. The "Widget name" field is for your convenience to remind you what each embed was generated for.

For instance, let's say you generated one embed which you only selected residential properties for and the other embed you only selected commercial properties for. In this case "Widget name" field will come handy by allowing you to describe each embed.

In the free version of property marketplace widget you can only use your embed for a single domain name. That said, you can generate unlimited embeds for that same domain name.

Setting #6: What profile would you like to display?

Setting #7: Do you want partner profiles to be displayed within list of property?

5) Click "Generate Embed Code" button.

6) Click "Copy Code" button and paste the generated embed code to the page of your website which you want to display your property marketplace widget on.

Tip: For an optimal user experience try to place the embed code to a page with a wide content container because our embed adapts its width to the with of the content container it is placed in. Therefore, the wider the content container is, the wider the property marketplace widget would be.
