Understanding how the ranking position of Business Profiles is determined in Real Estate Bees' Pro Directory

In this article I'll walk you through the number of variables that influence ranking position of Business Profiles throughout our Pro Directory. We've designed a proprietary ranking algorithm that determines the position of every eligible Business Profile based on each respective profile's overall activity on our platform.

In other words, if you want your Business Profile to rank higher on our Pro Directory in the list of comparable businesses in your target Category and Geography, you need to make sure you take care of the following aspects that directly influence your business profile's ranking:

#1 Profile Completion

An essential pillar of every highly ranked business profile on our Pro Directory is its completion rate. The more complete your business profile is, the more positive points you'll receive towards the cumulative rating of your profile compared to other business profiles in respective Category and Geography.

It's also important to note that if your profile is missing certain items such as headshot photo (in case of Personal business profile) or company logo (in case of Company business profile), your profile won't even be eligible to be publicly visible throughout our Pro Directory. Hence any activity made by you won't contribute to your profile's ranking improvement.

#2 Quantity & Quality of Reviews

A considerable significance within our multi-faceted ranking algorithm is allocated to the quality and quantity of client and colleague reviews. The larger amount of reviews with higher ratings your business profile has, the more positive points it will receive towards its overall ranking compared to other business profiles in respective Category and Geography.

#3 Quantity of Recommendations

Similarly to reviews, recommendations from clients and colleagues also hold a considerable weight in the ranking of business profiles on our Pro Directory. Therefore, the more recommendations your business profile receives, the more positive points it will get towards its overall ranking compared to other business profiles in respective Category and Geography.
